Fortius Group bought Junction Fair for $32 million in December, 2014 with plans to transform the ‘‘unloved’’ Junction Fair into a thriving neighbourhood hub.
“The group was attracted by the single-level site with the right demographic in the best part of Newcastle,” Mr Herington said of the 25-shop centre.
“We are trying to get Junction Fair back to its former glory.”
To celebrate the relaunch, the NXFM Street Team will be live crossing in-centre from 10am to noon, with giveaways, balloons, face-painting and games.
Prizes purchased from retailers up to the value of $5000 will be on offer.
“Each retailer will select an offer, sale or exciting incentive for customers on the day of the re-launch,” Mr Herington said.
“So experience the new and improved Junction Fair and be convinced all paths lead to The Junction.”
