Fortius Puts Food Focus on Artamon HQ

05 February 2019

Fortius Funds Management is upgrading its Artarmon HQ centre with a focus on increased food offerings to cater for expanding residential developments in the area.

Fortius purchased Home HQ in May last year and has been quick to initiate a repositioning strategy for the 10-year-old Artarmon homemaker centre.

Known as The Front Yard, the multimillion-dollar upgrades will see an additional 850 square metres of new, purpose-built space facing Reserve Road with 442 car spaces within the Home HQ centre.

The site will benefit from a catchment of customers from the nearby hospital, commercial and residential population, as well as foot traffic from the existing Home HQ centre.

According to Paul Saunders, architect from Saunders Global, the area will be a glazed pavilion with a modern interior. It will be sheltered and fitted out with planting pots and outdoor seating, the extension’s landscaped zone will feature a mix of formal and casual alfresco dining and kids’ play areas, optimising open space.

As part of the upgrades, space has been leased to DeRUCCI and Unique Car Wash, on varying terms, with Unique Car Wash signing a five-year term.

CBRE’s Shane Cook, who negotiated the centre’s recent leases, said Fortius has also announced plans to upgrade the homemaker centre’s car park with hub-parking technology, managed by Secure Parking.

”This licence-plate recognition technology is already being utilised at Westfield’s Bondi Junction and across Australia. The software is set to improve efficiencies and streamline entry to and exit from the centre, influencing smoother retail parking operations,”

Mr Cook said.
